RJ “BOB” THOMAS
Owner / Operator

The furniture industry is in his blood...the fourth-generation of a furniture industry family, Bob has been a part of the furnishings business all of his life. Starting out in the family business, which was started by his great-grandfather in 1898, Bob went on to own his own retail furniture store years later. Other endeavors included working in the wholesale and manufacturing segments, prior to opening RJ Thomas, Ltd. in 2003.

His unique “combined” background in the retail and wholesale ends of the business led him to create a “designer-friendly” business model with innovative amenities such as “free inbound freight” and “subsidized receiving and delivery fees”.

ALANE MEADE
Showroom Manager

A long-standing member of the Michigan Design Center family, Alane Meade joined RJ Thomas, Ltd. in January 2005 after a 21 year career with Creative Collections at Lacoff’s. Alane’s experience and comprehensive knowledge of the unique needs of the design community make her an expert in helping find just the right products for all your project needs. Prior to joining Lacoff’s, Alane received her degree in interior design from Wayne State University.

SALLY DELOZIER
Design Consultant

A third-generation interior designer, Sally has been with RJ Thomas, Ltd. since they opened their doors in 2003. Prior to joining the RJ Thomas, Ltd. showroom, Sally gained over 10 years of experience in a variety of other showroom positions, including management, buying and sales. In addition, after receiving her degree from Michigan State University and raising her 2 children, Sally worked on her own projects through major firms in the area specializing in residential design.

KASEY PIERSON
Design Consultant

With over 25 years of experience as a professional interior designer, Kasey Pierson is a valued team member at RJ Thomas, Ltd. In addition to her sales duties, Kasey is also responsible for creating the majority of room settings you will see in our showroom and is an integral part of our ongoing outreach efforts with the design community. A national board member for ASID, she has served as the local chapter president as well as chairman of the national competitions and standards committee. Other activities include teaching design courses at Baker College. Prior to joining RJ Thomas, Ltd. Kasey was Design Manager at Scott Shuptrine and held positions with Marshall Fields Design Studio. She also owned her own interior design business, Pierson Interiors.

TAMMY PIERSOL
Office Manager

The backbone behind the successes of RJ Thomas, Ltd., Tammy provides the day-to-day assistance necessary to keep the company running. From order follow-up, customer service and billing to delivery set-up, inventory maintenance and supplies, Tammy keeps the company going from day to day. Prior to keeping Bob on track,Tammy held office management positions with other showrooms in Michigan Design Center as well as other businesses outside of the industry.

ANGELA LOSSIA
Showroom Manager

Angela brings over 15 years sales experience and 10 years of design center showroom management experience to our International Design Center showroom. A native of Michigan, Angela spent the last 9 years at Michigan Design Center, running a multi-line, full-service showroom. Her experience, attention to detail and comprehensive knowledge of our product lines makes her an expert in finding just the right items for all your design projects. Prior to working in the industry, Angela held a sales position with Chanel, Inc. and took courses in fashion design.

JOYCE FRONEY
Design Consultant

Joyce Froney comes to the RJ Thomas Ltd. showroom with over 20 years of combined residential and commercial interior design background as well as an impressive record of retail furniture sales. Her experience and unique knowledge of the needs of the design client make her an expert in helping you find just the right products for all your project needs.
